Life is easy if you have no one to impress

This is One of the most simplistic takes on a conflated truth, of what life is supposed to be.
One could be fooled to imagine everyone’s experiences and way of living will be the same, but there are major differences to everyone’s way of life. For most – the drive is toward a concept of sameness and that one requires only to acquire ‘something shiny’ or be the owner of a particular skill.
The problem with that shiny thing or attaining that particular skill, is that it is sold to everyone else, and that the way to certain success would simply be in the using of it. Unfortunately no one is told that the crucial requirement is that, to use that shiny thing or that particular skill is ‘to impress’…and everyone who holds that shiny thing or that skill has simply to use it as the key to unlock that success…
And that makes life complicated and uncertain – but it keeps you at it. To be better and outshine the rest, just gain a new shiny thing or a better skill…and use it to better impress someone else,
so – YOU make that circle go around. What then is your new shiny thing?
